This is a picture of a mating pair of Eagles that took up residence along the bay just outside of the city limits. Sorry, but I won't disclose the location. A good friend of mine had told me about the nest, but I had never seen it occupied, but when I drove by today I saw something white so I came home and got my Nikon SLR and put on my zoom lens. Most of the pictures I took (well over 100) were taken using the landscape mode with the lens on full zoom, but I did try various settings along with a faster shutter speed and I always use the normal mode when in doubt about the lighting conditions. I've lived in this area for many years now, and this is the first eagle pair I've seen although I hope there are many more in the area. The nest was only about 100 yards from the bay, and I'm sure it's location is perfect for the eagles because it is in a heavily wooded area with lots of food available. I've taken literally thousands of pictures, but this is one that I'll always treasure, and I consider it a gift from the Lord above. Due to the nature of this picture I'm watermarking it in different locations. Should you like a copy just ask - Please don't steal the picture. It's been resized to make loading on the internet faster, so even if you take this copy it will be inferior to the original.
