The picture below was taken from my car on a recent trip out of town. Normally during the winter this field is covered in water, but once Spring arrives the grass turns green and the cows come out to the pasture. The red barn in the center of the picture just highlights how very green the grass is this time of year in Oregon. I took this picture using my Nikon SLR, and since I was driving at nearly 60MPH I set the shutter speed as fast as possible which was about 1/4000th of a second. Had I delayed the shutter speed any more the picture would have been a blur,and it also helped that the sun was in just the right position giving me enough light to make this picture possible.
