It's often hard to tell which of the Sister Cities
you are in while visiting North Bend. The two seem to compliment
one another very well both in a style and architecture which makes the most of the
beautiful scenic area while building without any major disruption
to the environment.
The pictures below are all of the North Bend area and comprise of
photos of the Pony Village Mall, (the largest mall on the coast) looking both from the inside and
the outside. The mall is full of fun and unique stores and you'll surely be able to find most anything you need along with a tourist's delight of merchandise to take home with you after your vacation to the area.
You'll notice in one picture the nice view of
the bridge and another which I took from the very center of the
bridge while watching for ships to enter the harbor. On the particular day I took the photos from the bridge the sailing ship the "Lady Washington" was in the harbor.
Small planes
are frequent flyers into the airport and it makes for a fun landing on the small peninsula shaped landing strips. It's also a very
common site to see the Coast Guard Helicopters passing over the
area covering the coast, shores and ships. The Coast Guard Facility is also located very close to the airport.
In the very near future I'll head into the heart of the city
and capture some pictures of the old and historic city.
