I decided to put my digital camera's features to a new use and tried taking some photographs using the black and white feature. My goal as I took these black and white photos was to give you an idea of just how drab it can be here in the wintertime. The sky just fades to white, full of fog with very often a fine mist falling from the low clouds. I actually love the winters but always look forward to the spring, but no matter what season I'll always have my digital camera close at hand hoping to catch that next "one" special picture. None of these black and whites pictures are exceptional, but the light and lack of colors adds a new and different perspective. I take photos constantly, and as any good photographer knows getting one great shot out of five or six pictures is a good days outing. I tried to give you a sampling of the area. You'll find coastal, inland, lakes, and various photos in this gallery. I realize that most of you only visit the area in the spring and summer, but give the winter a try. Be sure to bring your camera along and watch the ocean stir and listen to the roar and almost melodic sounds of the waves striking the shore.
