**North Bend**

Filed under: Uncategorized — CoosBlues @ 9:02 pm

After a long debate I’ve decided to add information about Coos Bay’s sister city North Bend. I’ll be developing these pages over the next few days/weeks/or months but felt that the addition would be of use to the many people visiting the area.

**Black and White**

Well, it was time for a bit of a change so I’ve made a Black and White Photo Page. It surely provides a different perspective and one which anyone who has visited Oregon in the winter will surely recognize. The winters, although long, bring forth one of the most beautiful spring seasons to be found anywhere in the world.

**Java on then Off**

The homepage experiment only lasted a day. I tried early on in this site’s creation to limit the non-standard HTML coding such as java and perl along with cgi scripts in an effort to make the site accessible to everyone – no matter what your browser or its’ settings. The site may always be slow to load for those of you on dial-up and for that I apologize, but the site is largely photographic in nature thus the sometimes slow load speeds. I’ve optomized the photos the best I can, but I do need to keep a certain quality in the photos you see although this is nowhere close to how I see the full photos.

The Hamweather or “your weather” will load slowly because the code is going out and fetching the most current conditions before the display appears. Don’t forget that the page is interactive in nature and you can check the weather for just about anywhere in the world. Just be patient.

**Change on Homepage**

If you have javascript enabled you will notice that the photograph will change up to seven times, for example when you leave the homepage and come back a new photo “may appear” or if you hit your “refresh” button a new photo “may” appear. The reason I say “may” is the fact is the script is purely random in it’s photo selection.
