KCBY TV – what have you done?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:27 am

I was watching the local news today at 6pm and 6:30PM and noticed that you took a page from my website and aired in on the news.  That would have been fine if you had asked; I would have been happy to let you use the page, but to just capture a screenshot of my website and air it on the news without my knowledge is against my Terms of Service.  Why?

Ok, so I got that off my mind.  One other thing that bothers me is the mention of Shore Acres and their “holiday” lights.  I had contacted the webmaster of Shore Acres a year or two ago requesting a link exchange but they wanted me to change Shore Acres Christmas Lights to “holiday lights” which I refuse to do.  I’m not taking the “Christ” out of Christmas.

Have a great Holiday weekend everyone.  I’ll be getting a newsletter out soon!

A week of Extremes

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:40 pm

Should you have read a few of my posts this week you’ll notice that quite a lot has been going on in my personal life.  In less than one week I’ve experienced the extremes of emotions.  Last Sunday I was baptized at the tender age of 51 as a rededication of my life to Christ, and today I had to say goodbye to a good Sister in Christ at her memorial service.  It’s so very true as the Bible mentions that “in the twinkling of an eye” life can have dramatic changes.  I want to thank all by brothers and sisters in Christ for helping through, but most of all I want to thank God for his everlasting love!

Dungeness crabbing getting Good

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:44 pm

This is the time of year when the dungeness crabbing s starts to pick up.  The best time to go would be at a high slack tide, but a day or two after there has been no rain.   The crabs move out of the bay when the water becomes to saturated with fresh water.  I do advise using a bait holder to prevent the seals from stealing your bait.  At one time I didn’t think they cared for chicken so I wasn’t using a holder, but after some experience I’ve found a hungry seal will eat just about anything.  Chicken is still my bait of choice, but fish works well and is often much cheaper.  Don’t forget your licenses and remember the limit is 12 crabs per person.   Have fun and let me know how you are doing.

I’ve incorporated a new email form to cut down on the spam and you can find it on my email page.  You’ll have to add the code which is given for your email to be sent.  You can be sure I’ve gotten your email if once you hit send you are redirected to my homepage.

Goodbye to an a Good Friend

Filed under: Religion — admin @ 1:37 pm

I lost a very good friend yesterday.  I just thank God that she had accepted Jesus as her  saviour.  I know she’s home now and at peace with God.  I do pray for her friends and family and extend my condolences to everyone touched by this sudden death.  Life can be short my friends, and we never know the hour when we will be called home so please, if you haven’t already consider accepting Christ as your saviour and ensure your place in God’s Paradise.  Jean, you will be missed!

Baptism

Filed under: Religion — admin @ 4:06 pm

I’m very proudly getting Baptized tomorrow.  Life is great now that I’ve found Jesus.  I’ve also found a new Church, and I love the fellowship and our Pastor Phil.  I want to thank everyone at the Church; the Worship service is fantastic; the music is awesome and my new life as a Christian only gets better with each new day.  Should you be in the area we surely welcome new visitors so come to the Bayshore Fellowship Church located on Virginia Avenue and see what a great place this is to profess your faith, or it’s a great place to find new faith!  Amen
