A record High

Spring hardly let its’ presence know to those on the coast of Oregon, and today we were rather surprised when the temperature went up to 88F which is an all time high for this time of year.  Most locals were not happy campers – you see most of us don’t have AC in our homes with heaters on most every night of the year for at least a few minutes.  My temp inside today topped out at 84 which is a good 20 degrees above normal.

One other thing of note:  Walmart no longer allows visitors to park their campers overnight.  You can read more about it on my free camping page.

Clamming

I just posted the tides for the next few days and noticed some awesome clamming tides at a nice time of the morning.  There has been an abundance of steamer clams (in my opinion) this year and they are quite easy to find.   Check out my clamming pages for more information.

Current Index Picture

This website is nearly seven years old and I’ve never displayed anything but true Oregon pictures on my index page.  This picture of my Grandson was too precious to not share.
