Coos Bay Boardwalk Entrance

I don't take many pictures at night largely because getting a good picture requires a bit of extra effort setting up the camera. You need to slow the shutter speed down dramatically in order to allow the right amount of light. I set the camera on this picture to leave the shutter speed open about 3 seconds. This picture is of the Coos Bay Boardwalk and is also the logo the city uses in all of it's literature. I am often asked if I am associated with the city professionally and the answer to that is a resounding "no"! I love the city of Coos Bay, but in all honesty I have very few nice things to say about the Chamber of Commerce.

I've tried working with them in the past, but all they want from me is my money and sorry to say I support the community in other ways (such as this website) and I'm not about to give them a dime. I pay my taxes; drive a number of visitors to the area, and I personally know of three families that relocated to the area largely because of my website. That doesn't seem to be good enough for the Chamber so I therefore do not support them or their efforts. I'll keep on promoting the city with my pictures and letting you know of things I think are of interest, but I'm not a business - I'm just a person that wants to share the city with those interested!
