As everyone that has visited the coast knows that sunshine is
very often in short abundance. More often than not the fog and
clouds are so thick that they will not let the sunshine in, but
I've found their formations to be quite beautiful so if I
can't go out and use my camera to capture a sunset I'll
often go cloud hunting. I really just look for unique patterns.
The majority of the clouds we get along the coast during the fall
and winter months are either high cumulus clouds or low, dense
rain clouds. Very often their is a combination of both in the sky
I usually set my camera to full manual mode when shooting clouds
so I can properly accentuate the colors. We do have our beautiful
Sunsets but as winter approaches they become quite rare.
I'm not one to let the weather stop me from making the most
of my cameras, and it is true their is beauty in everything. Just
as I've come to love the other times of the year I find that
the winter season makes me appreciate the rest of the year along
the coast that much more as I'm sure it does everyone that
lives in this community. I know that I often look at the clouds
and perhaps dream that some of the views conjure of what a view
from space over the earth must look like. There are quite a
number of cloud pictures here that I feel will give you that
feeling. Pictures are more than something for the eye and they
all have something unique and special to offer both in sight and
mind.
Again, as always if you would like to share your skills with a
camera please send me your photos by consulting my Photo Sharing
Page.
