HDR Coast Guard Helicopter Pictures
As anyone that visits or lives in the area knows the Coast Guard plays a very vital role in the community. I became fascinated with the helicopters immediately as I would watch them fly and maneuver around the area. I then started taking pictures of helicopters whenever I got the chance. This page is not to give any specifics about the helicopters, nor is it a page full of detailed information about the Coast Guard. It's merely pictures of helicopters taken from a number of different vantage points. I strongly urge that you visit the website aptly named Station Coos Bay. It is the Coast Guard's page for the Coos Bay/North Bend area. The facility offered me a full tour and this is where the "parked" helicopter pictures were taken. The other pictures of the Coast Guard training were taken in Coos Bay river. The helicopters fly each and every day, and they are surely a welcome "sound" to the local community.
I have also decided to display the pictures in High Dynamic Range (HDR) resolution. There is quite a difference using this new HDR technique. The pictures tend to look softer and yet more dynamic at the same time.
