I don't travel inland very often; largely because I love life along the coast. I had decided to go camping one night near Allegany along the river. Most of my sunset pictures have been taken over the ocean and I was very pleased to see the sky so beautiful this night. The clouds and the atmosphere combined to give this picture an almost rainbow like effect although there was no rain to be seen. I was using an older camera; not my Nikon SLR but it did a good job at capturing this picture. I had the camera set to manual and slowed the shutter speed way down to capture enough light. The end result is the picture you see and is one of my favorites. The next day I went fishing; with little luck but did come home with a bucket full of crawdads. I had never eaten them before, and in all honesty I don't think I will again. The taste just wasn't what I expected although I did cook them correctly. It was just too much work for so little meat and it surely didn't taste anything like lobster. All in all it was a great camping adventure and one I'm sure to experience again in the near future.
