Coos Bay Snow Pictures

I often get asked if it ever snows along the Oregon coast, and specifically does it snow in Coos Bay. The pictures below show a recent snow-storm that fell over the Coos Bay area. Snow is not a common occurrence in the Bay Area, but it does happen perhaps once or twice a year. The snowfall is minimal; often less than an inch or two. The pictures below show one of those rare days in Coos Bay when it did snow, and the snow actually stuck on the ground for most of the day. There was no more than about 3 inches that fell, but it provided an awesome view of snow on the beaches and an accumulation in the trees, roads, and yards. It was surely a beautiful and unusual day.
