Public Library in Coos Bay.JPG

The library was established in 1910 by the Progress Club. Andrew Carnegie also gave a grant to the and the building was dedicated in 1914. Since that time the library has grown immensely and now has grown to encompass the areas of North Bend and the Southwestern Oregon Community College. The library offers books, maps, CD's, audio books, both DVD and VHS movies, and it has a special children's center. The library has recently updated their computer systems, and it offers residents the ability to surf the internet for both enjoyment and knowledge. There are many special events held throughout the year, and most, if not all, are free and open to the public. For more detailed information visit the Coos Bay Library Online.

For Hours and Days Opened you may call the Library at (541)269-1101.
