I took this picture at the Upper Empire Lake. I do not know the exact species of this beautiful dragonfly, but I love finding them and capturing them on my Nikon SLR. The lake was brimming with dragonflies of all colors and I'll be posting a new page dedicated to Oregon dragonflies very soon. The lake is also a great place to fish for trout, and it has a nice beach for swimmers. The water is always a bit cold, but compared to the Ocean it's like taking a warm bath. Just below the picture I've provided my camera information to help you get the most out of your SLR cameras.
