The picture below was taken at Lighthouse Beach just south of the Cape Arago Lighthouse. It's a fair hike down, but well worth the view. It's about as close as one can get to the lighthouse by foot and it's really best on a low tide so you can walk near the bluff which the lighthouse rests upon. Just park you car on off the side of the road and walk in - walk to the left and look to the right for your way down. A rope is there to help with the steep hill and surely helps if you have surfing or camera equipment. The beach is one of the most popular for surfers in the area, but I wasn't out to take pictures of them on this particular day. You can see the snowflake watermark which would have let you know it was a winning picture. Try again next week.
