Are you visiting the area and would you like some general guidance on crabbing and clamming in the local area? I have over 12 years of experience in this area, and I also have all of the equipment necessary to make your adventure both fun, educational, and rewarding.
As a recreational outdoor guide I can either take you clamming or crabbing, or I can rent you the equipment you will need. I currently charge $5/day per crab ring and bait pin. I know the best spots in the area, and also the best times to go to make your outing as eventful as possible. I cannot however make any guarantees that you will come back with a limit of dungeness crabs or clams. The activities are much like fishing. There are days when a limit will be quite possible, and there are other days when hardly a "bite" can be found. That's all part of the fun of the experience.
I'll also be happy to cook and clean your dungeness crabs. I will also clean your clams, but cooking them is entirely in your hands. Everyone's taste and diet is different, and there are many ways to prepare clams. Crabs on the other hand can only be cooked and cleaned one way. The crab meat can be eaten fresh from the shell, or made into salads and other types of meals.
I will also take digital photographs of your experience and place them on a CD for you to take home as a remembrance of your visit to the area.
Prices vary depending upon what type of service or rentals you require. I will teach you how to perform these activities, but the real work will be left in your hands.
