Charleston Fire Department's Holiday Trains

Home

The Charleston Fire Department displays a beautiful set of Holiday Trains each year which people can enjoy from 4PM-10PM. Admission is free, and there are refreshments served (donations welcome). The display is beautiful, and the Fire Department spends over a week setting up the trains and tracks. People from the Coos Bay area and nearby towns are more than welcome to spend an evening watching the trains and talking with the firemen. It surely is a labor of love for Captain Shield. He hopes to set up a triple table of tracks, some of vintage nature next year. The Department is located on Cape Arago Highway, and most anyone in town can tell you how to get to the location. Cameras are welcome as you can see by my photographs below. Enjoy
