I've found after living in Oregon for many years that quite often the most lovely pictures can be taken either early in the morning or not too long before sunset. The fog and mist in the air seems to add something to the beach pictures of Oregon, and taking pictures at this time of day also helps with sun issues. I took this beach picture facing south very early one morning heading south on Highway 101. The fog was beginning to burn off and the beach was becoming exposed for the first light of the day. It's always well worth planning stops along the coastal highway, but please use only areas that are safe to pull off. The cliffs are steep and the roads are very curvy.
