This surely isn't one of my best pictures, but one of my most unique. I hadn't had my Nikon SLR camera for long and I wasn't quite yet adept at setting the shutter speed for low light level conditions so the picture is a bit grainy but I still love it. They call this the Blood Moon and the morning of the full moon I got up early and went out hoping it would be clear, and as you can see it was fairly clear. I would say from the time I took this picture until the moonset only five minutes had passed. I've never seen such a red moon, and to capture it setting over the ocean was something new for me to see. Just awesome! It's easy to remember; a new moon rises in the morning and a full moon rises at night. Just one more thing God made so perfectly!
