This is not an uncommon scene along the coast. The fog at certain times of the year gets quite thick, and often hangs over the ocean and nearby cliffs until the sun has burned it off - which isn't always the case. This picture is facing south and was taken about 8 a.m., and as you can see it's starting to burn off, but there are days when the fog is so thick that it stays around the entire day. It makes for a great picture, and the scenery along the coast is just glorious. I was using a Nikon SLR, no tripod, and on full auto mode.
