The Oregon coast is very well known for it's sand dunes. The dunes can be found along much of the coast, and they are a great place to ride your All terrain vehicle - ATV's, or a dirtbike. You can find some good information about the Oregon Dunes on this page. I advise everyone to check the local requirements concerning the laws and requirements for riding on the dunes legally. Please be safe. I hear of far too many accidents each year; most of which could have been prevented by following proper safety procedures. A rather new fad hitting the coast are sandboards. They are pulled behind ATV's and 4 wheelers much like a skier is pulled behind a boat. There are many place which rent the equipment and instruction can also be found at certain locations.
