Riding the Waves

This was a fun picture to take as I was out four-wheeling one day. The gulls were riding the waves so I decided to follow them down the beach with my wheels just in the water and I took this picture out of my window going about 15mph. I haven't done anything to the picture other than resize it; I did have the camera set to shoot very fast with an exposure time of 2/1000th of a second. I followed the gulls for a mile or more and they seemed to be playing just riding the updraft from the waves as they cascaded into the shore. It's great fun to drive along the beach in a four-wheeled vehicle, and along the coast there is no telling what you might see. I've seen deer and elk in the Ocean; all sorts of birds and some great streams entering the Ocean which often contain gold - yes I did say gold. I see prospectors mining for gold almost every time I go to a certain location and there is no doubt deposits of gold entering the coastal byways.
