There are two waterfalls as you head out of the city towards Allegany and they are the Gold and Silver Waterfalls. The are both located in the same area, and both earned their names largely by the background rock color and the way the sun hits each of the waterfalls. There is some poison oak in the area, and during the spring lots of small garter snakes. I've seen other snakes too, but none poisonous so just keep you eye out, and should you hike up to the top of the falls I'd wear some good shoes and bring a bottle of water. The round trip can be well over two hours; I would also recommend getting there rather early in the morning for some of the nicest photographs. You can find more waterfall pictures here.
