The Coos Bay Skateboard Park was completed in Mid 2009. It is very easy to reach from Highway 101 and is located on Commercial Avenue and 8th Street. The park is open to everyone from 9 a.m. until dusk; all skateboarders under the age of 16 must wear a helmet. Bikes and scooters are not allowed. It is a great addition to the city, and the skate park has developed a good reputation throughout the State of Oregon for places to skate. The park is located very near Mingus Park .
