I took this picture of this beautiful swan at Mingus Park. There are many swans in the lake along with ducks, geese and other birds. It's a great place to take the family for a picnic, and you can fish there too. I've heard there are some bass in the lake along with some perch, although I've never fished there but plan on going one day soon. There is an area for the kids to play, and a nice paved path around the lake which makes for great exercise. At certain times of the year there are also free summer concerts, and in the back part of the lake is an area called Choshi Gardens. It has a very Japanese style with nice trees, ponds, and all sorts of fauna. Just across the street is the skate park and a baseball field, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
